Logic was doing his best to stay focused on just living. After the death of his brother, he made the decision to leave the streets alone. He couldn’t imagine his mother have to bury another son or visit him in jail, but the idea of letting his brother's killer go free was really weighing heavily on him. Especially considering the fact that his brother’s killer was the one person he used to trust the most.
Joy had been watching Logic for months and knew that she had to have him. This man was everything. There was a certain mystery about him that really had her wanting more. She could tell that there was a reason why he walked around her local café like he owned the world, and thanks to her best friend Karma, Joy would soon find out.
Once Logic and Joy meet, things immediately take off and the two seem destined to be together. But, Logic’s past has resurfaced, causing him to make a decision that might force Joy to walk away. What’s more important, revenge or love? Maybe they can handle both, only time with tell.

I really like the way Logic was described in the beginning of the book. He was sexy, strong, intelligent, sensitive, but at the same time he was an alpha male with hood swagger. I really like his chemistry with Joy. However, I think he needs to keep his stable (and I do mean stable) of women in check. For example, when you know someone is delusional i.e. Felicia, the worst thing you can do is maintain a sexual relationship with them. You have to cut them off. So him sleeping with Felicia was not good and it was the kind of move that all hood guys do and it always ends in disaster. The chick immediately thinks you must have feelings for her because you are still having sex with her, so I have to admit that given how intelligent Logic is, he should have told her no and kept it moving. Also, I didn't read where he used a condom, again a major no-no. That said, I enjoyed the book, I hope Joy tells her father about her no good slutty mother.Product details

I see a lil Yetti in Logic... I hate it took me so long to read this series.. you have done it again... love it!!
I just love me some Logic. He and Joy have some powerful chemistry. Myesia is about to be problem. Especially since Donte is gone. Rah is about to a problem too. Joys mom is just plain NASTY!
Great storyline. I'm in love with the characters. 4 stars because of too many typos and spelling errors. A few times the story didn't flow. I'm not understanding why they were called the Mitchell Brothers when their last name is Ford. Overall, great book.
Poor Joy going over to Logics mother house for dinner has turned into a stand off, now Nova and Logic is both upset with her but for different reasons...
Logic and Joy were so cute and I enjoyed them! It took the book a bit to build up but when it did....WOW!!! I liked Logic's family but Joy's are something else. Mama is a trip and triflin'. That ending though was so good and I can't wait for part 2.
I don't even know where to start with this book. I was hooked from the very first page. I loved Logic and Joy relationship. Joy mother was something else I can see she going to be trouble. That ending was something else with cousin dating Rah. K.C. Mills have a way of writing that defiantly draw you in and get your attention from the very first page.
I'm loving joy and logic as a couple. I also love karma crazy self. She really has her girl's back. I think logic was really trying to stay out of the streets but it just kept calling him. I glad donte and fez where handled, and Joy's mom know she was dirty for that. Can't wait to see what happens next.
